We have been to the vet and we are current on our shots, worming and have been fixed. Our adoption fee is $50.00. Please send email so we can find our forever homes to jeffcoarkansashumanesociety@yahoo.com. Thanks.
I was alone, frightened and skin and bones when I wandered up to someone's house and they said "Oh you poor thing" let me help you. She was my angel. My estimated birthday in October 1, 2011. I am still a baby. I now weigh about 32lbs and I am healthy and happy. I just need my forever home. I have been spayed, vaccinated and am ready to move into my new home. My adoption fee is $125.00 Please email jeffcoarkansashumanesociety@yahoo.com and they will tell you all about me. Thanks!
Hey! I am a lot smaller than I look. Wanna meet me? For months Budde lived in a culvert in a ditch. The skittish dog evaded numerous attempts to capture him by animal control officers, humane society volunteers, and concerned citizens in the neghborhood. Once he was caught he became a different dog. He loves people. He's very social and gets along well with other dogs. He is about 1 1/2 years old as of 7/2011. After months in a culvert he is very deserving of a wonderful home. We feared he would never be someones buddy. His adoption fee is $75.00. Please email us and find out more about Budde. Thanks!
Momma Anna and 9 other dogs were found in the woods in rural Jefferson County, AR. After rescue, momma Anna gave birth to her puppies. Everyone has been adopted except mama and me. When I was 6 weeks old I got pneumonia. My foster mom nursed me back to health right away and I am doing great. However, I do have a consolidated lobe in my lung. My wonderful doctor said I should be fine. I have no problem keeping up with the big girls I live with. I am a very laid back and sweet boy. My foster mom has allowed me to stay inside and I am doing great. She loves me but knows I need to find my forever home. All of our dogs are fixed and current on vaccines. Please contact us for the opportunity to visit these dogs. Our adoption fee covers a small portion of the cost to alter and feed these puppies. Some dogs are with us for a very long time. Adoption fee is $125.00. Apply today. Thanks.
Elvis was a long term resident of the local animal shelter. Although the humane society does try to help the local shelter by pulling dogs and trying to rehome them, we mainly concentrate on rescuing off the streets and the lonely county roads. The humane society also has trouble placing dogs who are not puppies. Everyone wants puppies and they are adopted quickly from the shelter and from the humane society. There is absolutely nothing wrong with an older dog. They are easier to train and with our hands on fostering program, you don't get surprises. We also offer assisted low cost spay and neuter and education to try and re-teach animal lovers that having multiple litters is not only unhealthy, it usually ends in tragedy. Elvis is approximately 5-6 years old and a walker coonhound mix. He is being kept inside and is around many people including children. He is thriving and gaining some of the weight he was beginning to lose. Please say that Elvis can be a part of your family. Can we make this "older" guy a permanent part of your family. Elvis has had his hw check (negative), he also has his 6 month shot which was given in January. He has been neutered and is ready to be a part of your family. Donation for this man is $50. Thanks.
Roxy was used as a breeder. When her mate died, her heartless owner turned Roxy and her son Rex into the local high kill shelter.. When we found Roxy, son Rex, Spirit and Elise (not related), all pure german shepherds, they were underweight and we believe they had given up hope of ever getting adopted. You see people want puppies and they turn away from older dogs. What is not understood is when we foster an older dog we can tell you its personality, habits and traits. Puppies are cute but will only be puppies for a short time. Roxy is approximately 3 year's old. Roxy has been in a home who found it necessary to bring her back. She is a calm, wonderful german shepherd who needs an owner that has time to devote to her. She plays and runs and loves life. She is housebroken. Her home should have no small animals of any kind, and a fenced yard. Roxy is very good with her foster children. She is available for adoption to the right home. Her adoption donation is $75.00. She has been altered and her shots are current and she is heartworm free. Roxy weighs approximately 65 pounds and is steadily filling out. Thanks.
Sadie was a 38 pound full grown malnourished coon hound when she was rescued from a local shelter. All of the parasites in her body are gone now. The vet has spayed her and made the observation she has had puppies in the past. We believe her to be 2 years or less. She is available for adoption to the right home. Sadie is fostered with many doggies, her favorite is 100 pound Raymond, another rescued coon hound. They insist on getting in the same dog house and "cuddling". Sadie's adoption fee is $100.
We have been in foster care for over a year ever since we were five weeks old. Our birthday wish is that we would find our forever homes. We are the only ones left from a litter of 10 born to an abandoned mother. A DNA test revealed that the most prominant breed in her mix is Boston terrier. We love people, get along well with other dogs, and are smart. We walk well on leash and know "sit". All vetting for your baby is done, alter(fixing), shots, worming and flea protection from our non profit group and is a tax deductible $75.00. E-mail today!. ASK US ABOUT OUR 2 WEEK FOSTER TO ADOPT PROGRAM! Thanks!
Hi I am Hazel. I used to hang out under the interstate at the Hazel exit and I have hazel eyes. One blue and one brown. I am about 9 month's old, a catahoula leopard dog and really I am very pretty. My foster mom thought hanging out on the streets was neither proper or healthy, so she and other volunteers caught me and set me down and let me know that I am a proper girl and will from this point on act properly. I used to be shy but now I just let anyone pet me and love me. Won't you contact my mom today and make an appointment to come see me. Please e-mail or download an application now. Thanks!
Hello I am Anna. My likes are scratches behind my ears, plenty of chow twice a day, standing in a wading pool and rides in the car. My dislikes are getting left in the dark woods with other dogs. I disliked being pregnant and hungry. I was rescued along with my other 9 friends. I gave birth within 48 hours of rescue. My puppies are on their way to growing up and now I am ready for a home. I only weigh 28 pounds. I have been spayed, I am heartworm free and very sweet. I love playing at my foster home with the big dogs, I don't have a choice, they are all much bigger than me but I can hold my own. Won't you let me come visit for a week or so and see if you might like me a little? I am about 2 years old. E-mail today at jeffcoarkansashumanesociety@yahoo.com. ASK US ABOUT OUR 2 WEEK FOSTER TO ADOPT PROGRAM! Thanks!
