Monthly MeetingsThe Society meets at Animal Hospital on Olive St. the first Monday of each month at 6:00pm. When the first Monday is a holiday, the meeting is on the second Monday. Interested individuals may attend the meeting or send membership dues and contributions (income tax deductible) to Jefferson County Humane Society, Inc., P.O. Box 2233, Pine Bluff, AR 71613-2233

 Our Photos with Santa fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to our volunteers, Santa, the photographer, Margland Bed & Breakfast and everyone who showed up for their photos. Please remember that the year is ending and if you would like to make a tax deductible donation now is the time. Our next meeting will be March 5 at 6:00 PM at Animal Hospital on Olive St. in Pine Bluff. New members and guests are welcome.
ARKANSAS PASSES NEW RABIES LAW--3 Year Law to be Set!
The Arkansas House (91-5) and Senate (35-0) passed a new rabies law authorizing the State Health Department to establish rabies vaccination schedules which will result in a 3 year rabies protocol for Arkansas dogs and cats.

Limited funds are available for financial assistance for the spaying/neutering of companion pets. Because funds are limited, each case will be evaluated on an individual basis depending on multiple animals and owners living in the same household. Please contact the Animal Hospital on Olive for more information at 534-0059. Please spay or neuter your pets. Help stop over-population and unnecessary euthanasia. |
